Congrats!

My dear friend got married yesterday. I wasn't able to make it unfortunately (it was in Ireland). Wish I could have gone :(

My invite was sent in July. Still no signs of it. I really think they should look into scrapping Posta Italiana all together. If it arrives I'll let you know.

Lets see... July... August... September... October...

Gee! Are they waaalking it over to you from Ireland? that's a long time on the road!

Are you taking bets? I bet that it's not coming.

Someone probably opened the envelope looking for cash. When our daughter was in Italy we quickly learned to use odd size or padded envelopes as card shaped things never arrived.

Roam2Rome, my bet at this point is that it's not coming either.

Gil, it seems there are no rules to what will and won't arrive. A package my parents sent around February 2007 never arrived... Bills always arrive though.

Congratulations to your friend who got married. For the next invitation you might receive they should disguise it then as a bill. As you said 'those always arrive.'

Wow, that's amazing you haven't recieved the mail yet, but you're not the only blogger from Italy I've heard that from. So sorry.

Congratulations to your friend.

It doesn't surprise me. I've failed to receive 3 wedding invitations which were mailed to me here in Rome. :( One was actually an original piece of artwork/wedding invitation by my artist friend.

I'm sure that people at the post office open all card envelopes looking for cash. What else would explain it?
