Clemetines and advent calendars

Today I got a parcel from my parents with a Cadburys advent calendar in it. As it's already the 9th this means I get to eat 9 "doors" today. Brilliant :) Thankyou Mum and Dad. Sometimes I think maybe they won't send me one this year, you know, with me being 29 an' all, but they shine through every time.

I bought my first clementines of the season today at the market. See the photo. Notice the leaves and imperfections. Lovely.

In England they're all imported too. I think the lemon tree leaves are bigger... So no cheating that way :)

I bought clementine (calabresi) too! We've been eating them by the dozens. I guess we won't have to worry about scurvy! Hee hee

Aren't they good? I saw a show that said basically they HAVE to have some stem and leaves. I think it shows they were picked and not ones that fell of the tree. Also do yours have seeds? Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't.

I am so happy that they are in season agian. Last year we were in Sicily for the clementines and ate them like candy. This year we are just getting warmed up here on the Amalfi Coast but enjoying them slowly.
I was told that clementines have no seeds and mandarine have seeds, is this correct?

Clementines are seedless yes. I always forget myself and just ask for "the ones without seeds" to be safe. Seeds are too much hassle for me :)
