Nearly Friday

I know it's early, but I've already started on the panettone / pandoro...By January I'll be regretting it severely and won't be able to look at another panettone / pandoro, but they were on offer at the supermarket, and what can I say, I am weak when put face to face with cake. I don't even have a preference, either will do. Ever tried pandoro with custard? It's a sign of a truly-integrated-but-loyal-to-one's-roots expat.

Ooooohhhhhhhhh! I *so* love panetone! Now, I'll have to hope my grocery store gets some, at any price!

You sound like my wife when talking about panetone. Funny she has English ancestors.

I've seen them, but I haven't tasted them. Are they good?

We almost bought a couple at the supermarket yesterday.

Pandoro with custard? Why, that's one of the best!

We have just been on holiday to Liguria, and the shops were filled with Panettone..in beautiful tins, boxes, and all different prices, we will have to buy one in the UK, couldn;t fit one in our luggage!

I have seen these all over Florence and have been wondering whether a cake in a box that lasts for years can be good....so now you've convinced me to go and try it :)

sopping up drool from my keyboard!

I like it toasted with butter, but will pretty much eat it in any way/shape/form!

Ahh but have you ever made bread and butter pudding with it....and then sloshed custard all over it.

There is a recipe on BBC Good Food if anybody want to have try.

Not that I made it with the first one this year, I just scoffed that one with some speed. I'm going to have a go this weekend though. With pandoro. If that goes well I'll try it with panetone.

Good Afternoon,

My name is Rochelle Shanthakumar and I am contacting you from http://www.oh-rome.com/

I was recently browsing your site and wondered if there might be a possibility of placing a text link within either the content or the right hand side bar of your home page.

If possible, could you please get back to me with how much this may cost?

Kind Regards,

Rochelle Shanthakumar
