Phone

I'm thinking of getting a new mobile phone. The one I've got isn't that old but it's a Motorola and quite frankly I've persevered enough. Sending texts to the wrong number etc happens too often. It has to be a Nokia this time.

The ones I like are these. What do you think? Anyone got one? I never thought I'd say this, but one of the qualities it has to have is a camera. A few years ago I used to say "why would I need to carry a camera around with me all the time?" But I now realise that it's an essential tool for a blogger.

Or maybe I should just save my money...

I have a pink Nokia 7390 which is the foldable one in the L'Amour collection. I really like it, the camera is much better than I expected it to be and now I almost never use my regular camera anymore as it's so much easier to use the phone and either transfer the photos to my laptop via Bluetooth or, if there are many photos, by inserting the memory card into the laptop. I've upgraded its memory card and bought new headphones to it, and now it also serves as my mp3-player/radio/mobile office/alarm/calendar.... oh, and sometimes I even use it as a phone! :)

Thanks Annika. That is the one I like the most - it's nice in pink or black. However, it's also the most expensive of the three...But if it's really worth it :) I thought you had a Samsung.

oh, I change every now and then :) I had a Sony Ericsson w850i before this one, but my Nokia is definitely a favorite. On my blog you can see some photos I've taken with it (except for the Italy photos, all the pics from the last month or two are taken with the phone).

On top of everything, it's cute! :)

Very pretty! I've always had a Nokia until recently, then my son got a Samsung and I was won over. Now I have the Rock and Call Samsumg - it's almost a touch phone, so I love it!

Isn't the i-phone out soon though?

I have always been a Nokia user but when it was time to change my last phone my husband bought me the sony ericsson K800i as it has a good camera (4MP). i HATE it! The commands are all backawrds compared to Nokia and the 'lock' function doesn't work when you use the camera. ie if the camera aperature accidentally slides open you phone can take photos, call people etc etc by itself. Not a good option for anyone, let alone if you have a nosey 2 year old fiddling with thigs all the time!If anyone tries to tell you they are 'pretty much the same as nokia' they are lying!

Re the iphone, according to my technie brother the camera on them is not that great. Although last time I was in teh UK we had a play with the one in the O2 shop and it was VERY nice....

I'd go with the Nokia. Vanessa

I have a Samsung and I love it. But, it is sans camera, so probably no good to you. One thing I know I will ALWAYS have is the same type of phone as P. Then, I don't have to worry about keeping up with the charger! lol

Alyson, the iphone will be out soon, but having the ipod touch is enough for me.

Vanessa, I understand completely what it's like battling with a non-nokia phone :)

Cherrye, someone's always got a Nokia charger!

I had a nokia when I was 16 y.o., then I switched to Samsung because my mother bought me two Samsungs as gifts.

I didn't feel 100% comfty with samsung, but they where cool anyway.
Now I bought a Nokia (N95) for myself...it's amazing, it can do lotta stuff but I haven't reversed completely to Nokia....I still push the wrong buttons, close accidentally texts, and so on. However it has an amazing camera I no longer need to carry my regular camera with me while on holiday!

i love nokia! i started with one back in the early days, and then went samsung for some reason 'cause it was a flip. HATED IT. got a palm treo, which was lovely, but far too easy to run up a monster bill--what with all the internet/web *cough* facebook *cough* capabilities and whatnot--so i went back to nokia.

I have a Nokia 6500 Classic and it is amazing! Would really recommend it. It is SO slim and sleek, and has a really high spec camera!

I recommend a Sony Ericsson phone. They build sturdy phones with the best technical features. I have been in the phone business since 2002 and SE phones are the best quality overall.
