Temptation

One of my favourite stores has a big sale on...But I'm in Italy and they don't deliver here.

Good point:
Save money

Bad point:
I'm pining over what could be mine :S

... Should I make a purchase and have it delivered to England and then forwarded on, or just leave it...

I've had the e-mail too! The thing is what do you do if you want to exchange it?!

It really depends on what it is you want to buy? Is is really expensive, do you really want it, or is it something you cannot find in Italy (like a good bra that fits - don't get me started on that.'

I take it they don't deliver to Italy? What a bummer! I get emails from stores I used to shop at back in the states and it always depresses me when I see the prices.

If you really want it - I'd buy it and ship it to mom. Then, pick it up on my next trip home (or send it via a friend who is visiting).

I'd want my stuff, but I don't trust the Italian mail!

Be sure to let us know what you decide.

Alyson, with M&S you could probably wait a few months and still take it back.

Leanne, there's no specific item, I just want to SHOP!

Mb, no delivery to Italy...Maybe I should take myself off the mailing list so I'm not lead into temptation :)

Cherrye, that is definitely a good option - getting someone to bring it over. Better to avoid the Italian post if possible :)

Nope, you have a specific date, which as I remember is shown on the receipt these days. They finally cottoned on!!

Having said that stuff I have ordered and had sent over has been fine anyway, but I'm slowly leaning more and more towards Benetton which is similar in price for things like vests and sweaters.

If it helps - you get about 3 months to take stuff back. I've just taken stuff back that I bought when I was last in the UK at Christmas!

Now I am in the UK though the appeal to go shopping has strangely worn off!

Ahh, Marks and Spencers, just the name makes me homesick, all that reassuring underwear. Nice to meet another English person in Italy in blog world, we seem to be out numbered by the all the lovely American gals. I've been snooping around your blog and it's great. Well done with the driving, we've been looking for a small automatic car but can't find anything here, they seem really hard to come by.
