I was going to guess the same thing. Is that where you catch the ferry? In Naples? I stayed at a hotel across the street from there. I had a great time and ate in wonderful restaurants there too.
Behind the castle is the main port where you can get the boat to Capri, Ischia and Procida. You can also go to Sicily and a few other places from there.
There's another smaller tourist port (Mergellina)to the right of the photo.
J.doe, which hotel was it? There are some of the best hotels down there.
Ha ha wow yeah we just commented each other at the exact same time... and it's been a month since I even posted last! (Apart from yesterday's) That's really spooky ha ha. Hope you're doing ok. I've caught up with the reading of your posts now :-)
Delina, I stayed at the Hotel Ausonia. We ate at Anema and Cozze often (not always) It really is good and the waiters were all so nice to us. Do you live near Via Carracciolo? I really enjoyed just walking up and down it.
I don't know the hotel you mentioned J.doe, but I have been to Anema e cozze. It's nice there, especially when the sun is shining.
I don't live near Via Carracciolo, no. The views are amazing from there but it does get very busy especially on a weekend and in the summer. Imagine the housing prices!

Hey, that's where you take the ferry to Capri/Ischia, right? That castle looks so familiar!

Beautiful pic... I LOVE the sea, even if it's only in pictures! :-)

Spooky indeed Becs.
I miss that view very much. I liked walking along that waterfront.
